 Wayne Aspland

waWayne is Group Manager, Corporate Affairs for Sensis. Aside from managing Sensis’ external speaking program and analyst relations, this role gives him plenty of time to research and ponder the rapidly changing advertising world that surrounds us. Throughout his eleven-or-so-year career in the online industry, Wayne has shown a strange penchant for the letter ‘S’. He worked at Sofcom, Spike and Sputnik in a variety of business development and strategy roles before joining Sensis in 2002. Wayne writes Speaking Sensis’ Crunch! column, which explores the numbers behind advertising and local search. Of the 22,014,130 people living in Australia today (source: www.abs.gov.au, 8.54am, 13 October 2009), Wayne is one of the lucky 1.273% (source: a whopping big guess) who can bore anyone into blissful snoredom with nothing more than a few well placed stats.

Karina Keisler

Karina Keisler is Group Manager of External Communications at Sensis. She has spent the last decade at Telstra and Sensis and has played a key role in building the company’s profile and protecting its reputation in the media. Karina has a Masters degree in Media and Communication. Just like young Karina MkII (pictured), Karina is a huge fan of all things sweet – especially if there’s chocolate somewhere in the mix.

Danielle Horan

As a Sensis Corporate Affairs Manager, Danielle Horan works across a number of key brands including Whereis, MediaSmart, Voice and the Mobile team. Prior to knuckling down in this role, Danielle was globetrotting and working in the UK. More than anything, Danielle loves being a Gen Y, because it annoys the Gen X clan.

Stephen Ronchi

Stephen is Strategic Communications Manager at Sensis and can drop anyone with Yellow™ and White Pages® facts at 10 paces. So you’ve got to ask yourself… do you feel lucky?

jessJessica Langmead

Jessica Langmead is the resident small business enthusiast at Sensis. Don’t fall into the trap of asking her about the any of the small business resources Sensis is currently working on or supporting – you could be there for hours. Effective ways to temporarily protect yourself from getting ‘small-business-ed’ by Jess include proactively demonstrating your knowledge of Sensis’ support of the small and medium business sector in Australia, such as chatting about one of the many small business festivals or award ceremonies Sensis supports around the country. Alternatively, you could enthusiastically ask some questions about the new book Sensis is producing for small businesses about the business growth opportunities associated with the uptake of environmentally sustainable business initiatives. That should buy you a little time.

christena-0945Christena Singh

Christena is the author of the Sensis® Business Index, the Sensis® Consumer Report and the Sensis® e-Business Report. Christena is passionate about championing the contribution that small businesses make to our economy and our social framework. Christena has been at Sensis since 2003, and prior to this worked with the Australian Government in Canberra, analysing the economic environment for small businesses, amongst other Canberra-type things! Christena studied at the University of Queensland, where she studied not only economics, but also government, physics, mathematics, and two subjects of Russian literature to make up some extra credit points, before earning her Masters at the Australian National University. When not at work, Christena enjoys running, reading and trying to speak Mandarin, spending time with her husband Tim and four year old son little Timmy, who is an expert in penguins and Thomas the Tank Engine. She is a passionate supporter of the Melbourne Demons and also holds a soft spot for the Brisbane Lions and anyone who plays Collingwood…

MeDeahn Dewar

Deahn Dewar is Corporate Positioning Manager at Sensis. Apart from spending a lot of her time spelling her name out for people who just can’t get their heads around it, she has the pleasure of helping Sensis’ local search and digital marketing specialists get out and about sharing their insights and knowledge with marketers and small businesses. As a mum of one with another on the way, Deahn’s put the backpack into storage for a few years, but is always keen to explore new frontiers.

 Hugh Martinmain

While Deahn is on maternity leave, Hugh is Corporate Positioning Manager at Sensis. When not positioning Sensis experts at selected events and maintaining relationships with relevant industry bodies, he is busy managing the Speaking Sensis blog. Driving the profile of the blog by encouraging its team of contributors to write regular insightful posts that provoke positive conversations about Sensis is a priority for him. He is currently on a recruiting drive for new contributors so look out for new faces and ideas in 2010.
